What is the women inn the city lunch?
Launched in 2003 by Gwen Rhys, Chief Executive of Networking Culture,  Women in the City aims to:

> Empower, inspire and motivate professional businesswomen

Acknowledge their success to date

Celebrate their leadership skills
>
Increase each woman's impact and visibility in her organisation and sector and to encourage women to support the progress of other women
>
Build partnerships with those who share our values and ambitions and our desire for international reach.

The Women in the City Lunch is a once a year opportunity for women to celebrate the achievements of women working in London's financial hubs.

In 2007, a formal Awards ceremony was introduced in addition to the Lunch Prizes.

Why attend the Lunch?
It's about real networking, not working the room. It's a chance to leave the grey suit at home and show some colour. It's a good way to end the week and it certainly beats rugby for corporate hospitality!
