Judging Process

Rigorous

The Women in the City Awards Programme has a rigorous 3-stage process judging process made up of nomination, application and interview.

The Women in the City Woman of Achievement Award Judging Panel is chaired by Prof Susan Vinnicombe, OBE, Director of the Centre for Developing Women Leaders at Cranfield University and together we have developed the rigorous judging process for the Woman of Achievement Award which has led to this award being highly coveted.

The Women in the City Future Leaders Award Judging Panel is chaired by Dr Veronica Burke, Director of the Accelerated talent Development Programme and the Cranfield General Management Programme, Cranfield University School of Management who has brought together diverse panel of Judges which includes a previous Woman of Achievement winner.

The Future Leaders Award.

From the Application Forms received, the Future Leader Award Judging Panel selects 10 Applicants to go forward for interview. Of these 10 a maximum of 5 become Finalists from which one is selected as the Award Winner.

The Woman of Achievement Category Awards.

From the Application Forms received, the Woman of Achievement Judging Panel selects a maximum of 6 individuals (Candidates) for each Award Category who are called for interview by the Endorser Panel linked to their Category. The Endorser selects the Winner of its Category - the Category Award Winner. The Category Award Winners are announced at the end of October.

The Woman of Achievement Award.

Each Category Award Winner undertakes a 40 minute personal interview with a member of the Main Judging Panel before the final decision is made. The winner is announced at the Women in the City Annual Lunch held on the last Friday in November.

Parity Award

From the Application Forms received, the Parity Award Judging Panel selects a maximum of 6 individuals (Candidates) to go forward for interview with the Parity Award Judging Panel.
