Ruth
Steinholtz’s
international legal career
spans eight countries on
three continents. She is
currently General Counsel
& Group Security Coordinator
for Borealis AG, a leading
provider of innovative
plastics solutions, based in
Vienna. Her interests go
beyond the legal arena into
leadership, corporate ethics
and compliance as well as
crisis management. Ruth has
implemented global incident
management programmes in two
multinational companies, as
well as the “Ethics
Excellence Programme” at
Borealis. She conducts
frequent trainings on these
topics.
In addition to her full time
work since 1990 as in-house
counsel first in Cadbury
Beverages Europe and later
at Allergan, Inc., Ruth
founded and is a director of the
Consortium for Continuing
Legal Education in Europe,
the only “customer-driven”
continuing legal education
programme in Europe. Ruth
was certified as a mediator
by CEDR in 2003.
Prior to this Ruth was in
private practice. She began
her career in San Francisco,
California. Ruth graduated
from the University of
Colorado at Boulder
(B.A.) and received her law
degree from the
University of San
Francisco School of Law.
