PLEASE NOTE OPENING TIMES VARY
25-30 September, 2-7 October (11am – 6pm weekdays, 11am-4pm Sunday, closed 1 October)
Goldsmiths’ Fair takes place over two weeks – the Fair closes on 1 October, as the makers exhibiting are changed over. In week one, we show our first 63 makers, and in week two, another 63 makers.
Goldsmiths’ Hall is home to the Livery Company of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, founded by Royal Charter in 1327. The Company continues to support the trade today, and the Fair is one of the many ways we do this. Exhibitors pay for their stands to help cover the cost, and the Company takes no additional commission or fees from the makers.
Curated by a panel of experts, Goldsmiths’ Fair features 126 exceptional designer-craftsmen from independent workshops around the UK. Every item exhibited is hand-made with extraordinary skill and artistry.
At Goldsmiths’ Fair, you can buy directly from the maker, affording an opportunity to speak directly to craftsmen and understand the design and making process behind their work. Each item sold at the Fair must comply with the UK Hallmarking Act, certifying its precious metal content.
It is a unique opportunity to meet the creative force behind makers of the UK’s most exciting contemporary jewellery and silver. It can also lead to exciting opportunities in commissioning work to create bespoke pieces, often incorporating family jewellery, or creating future heirlooms. Many of the makers will also participate in our talks programme.
As the most prestigious event in the UK, Goldsmiths’ Fair is the best place to buy directly from quality jewellers and silversmiths or commission one-off pieces to the most exacting specification. High-profile designers that have exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair over its 34 years include Rod Kelly, Charlotte de Syllas, Alan Craxford, Ane Christensen, Susan Cross, Zoe Arnold, Andrew Lamb, Shaun Leane, Ndidi Ekubia, Fred Rich, Catherine Martin, Jo Hayes Ward, Tomasz Donocik, Hannah Martin, Adi Toch and countless others.
