Awards Programme

Women in the City introduced its Awards Programme in 2007.

Future Leaders Award 2010 – current

In 2010, we introduced our Future Leaders Award which has gone from strength to strength. This Award recognises women working in organisations employing over 250 who are at the transition point between management and leadership.

The Award recognises 5 short listed candidates from which the Winner is selected.  The Winner receives a complimentary place on the ICAEW’s Women in Leadership Programme.

Woman of Achievment Award 2007 – 2015

The Woman of Achievement Award   recognised senior female leaders (typically working at partner and c-suite level) who, in additional to fulfilling a demanding role, were actively supporting the progress of women in their organisation or sector.

The Award was broken down into a number of Categories with each year’s Category Winners going head-to-head to win the highly coveted prize of a place on the University of Chicago Booth School of Business’s Accelerated Development Program.

Other Awards managed by Women in the City

Encouraging Equality Award (2015) in partnership with Women in FM.  Introduced to celebrate International Women’s day, this award recognised men championing gender diversity.

Parity Award (2010) which recognised HR/Diversity professionals

Lifetime Achievement Award (2009) which recognised a female leader whose career had involved working in and progressing within a strongly male-dominated environment.
