CEO Grant Thornton to present Awards

19 October, 2015 By WiC

SachaRomanovitch

Sacha Romanovitch won the Women in the City Woman of Achievement Award in 2009 and became CEO of Grant Thornton in early 2015.

This message is published on the Grant Thornton website.

I am delighted to take on the role of CEO and build on the success of the great work our firm has already achieved. I firmly believe that Grant Thornton, our clients and the wider success of the UK economy will depend on our ability to unleash talent and ideas from every section of society. From my experience one needs to do that intentionally – and when you do, it makes a big difference.

Recent roles as people and culture leader, head of London advisory and leader of the London audit and tax practices – where I quadrupled the size and profitability of the business unit – has put me in a great position to drive the business forward. I will continue to build on all of this work, in particular developing our people and culture, both internally and externally with clients, as it is something I believe is critical to the success of any business.

I have worked in the UK and globally with leadership teams to achieve superior business performance. This included the design and implementation of cultural change programmes and facilitation with boards to enable high performance in the board room, specifically around alignment and trust. I have coached senior leaders in organisations, and I’m a regular speaker at conferences on the area of transformational leadership.

My real passion is enabling others to meet their potential, which has led me to become a qualified coach; to champion our firm’s ground-breaking apprentice programme; and to challenge the norm on views regarding diversity – a role I am so passionate about I am the chair of the Patron Group for Access Accountancy.

My family is an important part of who I am and so spending time in Devon with them is vital to help energise and ground me.
