It’s all change for 2016 – new venue, new day of the week, new format – but don’t worry, the great buzz and energy; the quality food and wine; the fantastic networking; the Guest Prizes and high profile, inspirational Keynote Speaker are still part of the Lunch’s unique mix.
New Venue
Our 14th Annual Lunch will take place in the magnificent Drapers’ Hall in the heart of the City of London.
You may have seen its wonderful interior on the BBC’s 2015 Great British Menu which celebrated 100 years of the Women’s Institute, and although the Hall seats slightly fewer (276) than the venue we’ve used for the past 10 years, there’s much more space in the reception rooms and better opportunities for Lunch Sponsors.
New Day of the Week
Yes, Thursday is the new Friday!
This year our Lunch will take place on Thursday 10th November (noon – 4pm).
New Format
We know our Lunch is already a fantastic networking occasion and this year, because we’re not including an award ceremony, we’re able to offer a more leisurely lunch (with a starter and main course) and TWO opportunties to make great connections.
As well as a Sparking Reception before we sit down for Lunch, we’re adding a post lunch Mix and Mingle with delicious desert canapés.
And the changes don’t stop there. This year we’re selling tables of 12 and half-tables of 6 as well as individual tickets. Earlybird prices (until 1 Sept) range from £179 to £195 per place (+vat).
Table = £2148 (+vat),
Half-Table = £1074 (+vat)
Individual(s) = £195 (+vat)
Some things stay the same
A high profile Keynote Speaker
We’re delighted Julie Bentley, CEO Girlguiding who was named in the 2015 Woman’s Hour Game Changer list has agreed to be our speaker.
Guest Prizes
We’ll still have our fantastic 6 Guest Prizes, too!
City Tradition
Nothing changes here – we’re about combining the old with the new. We love City tradition and as usual our Master of Ceremonies (a City Beadle) will announce the guests and our Founder, Gwen Rhys, together with the Keynote Speaker, will welcome everyone personally and, of course, we’ll have our formal toasts, too.
BOOK NOW
We’ve already had enquiries for corporate tables so don’t delay, please book your places sooner rather than later.
Remember, our Annual Lunch is open to men and women. Last year our Founder & CEO, Gwen Rhys, set guests a challenge “Let’s make our 2016 lunch 50:50 men and women.” It’s important we include men in the conversation about gender partity and diversity, please encourage your male colleagues, associates and clients or customers to join you.
