Donating £686 on Giving Day for the 686th Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal
We’re delighted to support the inaugural City’s Giving Day on July 11 instigated by The Rt Hon, The Lord Mayor Fiona Woolf, CBE to encourage the City to donate to this year’s Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
The Lord Mayor has suggested that if everyone who works in the City donates £2 she’ll raise £686,000 towards her £2m fund-raising target.
We’ve pledged to raise £686 at our Future Leaders Award Celebration Breakfast and Symposium which by chance is also being held on 11 July. We’re raising this amount in 2 ways:
- we’re donating £2 for every person who attends the event
- we’re asking everyone who attends our Award Ceremony to donate £2 to enter a Prize Draw for one of the prizes featured below
- donate a further £10 or more and your name will go into the hat to win an exceptional Prize – the “686 Brooch” designed by jeweller Grant McDonald in 24ct gold plated sterling silver the brooch has been specially commissioned to commemorate Fiona Woolf’s mayoralty.
We’re sure we’ll exceed our target so the balance will go towards another of the Lord Mayor’s fundraising events on 19 September, when Marianne Bosak our Programme Manager will be abseiling down Lloyd’s and donating at least £500 to the Appeal!
